Age Limit
- Candidates must be born between 01 May 2013 and 31 July 2015 (inclusive).
- The selected candidate must produce a Government-issued Birth Certificate during admission.
Eligibility Criteria
- District-Specific Admission:
- Candidates must study Class V in the same district where the JNV is located.
- Only bona fide residents of the respective district are eligible.
- Educational Requirements:
- Candidates must study Class V in a Government/Government-recognized school during the 2024-25 academic session.
- Students who passed Class V before 2024-25 or are repeaters are not eligible.
- Rural Quota:
- At least 75% of the seats in a district are reserved for candidates from rural areas.
- The remaining seats will be filled on merit, open to both urban and rural candidates.
- To qualify for the rural quota, candidates must have completed full academic sessions in Classes III, IV, and V in Government or Government-aided schools in rural areas.

Documents Required After Selection
Provisionally selected candidates must submit the following documents during admission:
- Birth Certificate issued by a competent Government authority.
- Proof of eligibility as per the NVS conditions.
- Rural Quota Certificate (if applicable): A certificate from a competent authority stating the student completed Classes III, IV, and V in rural areas.
- Residence Certificate from the same district where the JNV is located.
- Aadhaar Card (copy).
- Certificate from the Headmaster regarding study details for Classes III, IV, and V.
- Medical Fitness Certificate.
- Undertaking for migration (if applicable).
- Disability Certificate (if applicable).
- Category Certificate:
- SC/ST Certificate (if applicable).
- OBC Certificate (as per the central list, if applicable).
JNVST 2025 Exam Pattern
